Ruby red colour, dense in a glass. Ripe plum, plum jam aroma with a hint of smoke. Rich and full taste in the mouth. Long finish, still a bit tannic, with not very rough texture of tannins. It is still going through the phase of structuring. It will gradually smooth out and take on the characteristics of a typical Merlot. It's a perfect match for strong tasting meat dishes and grilled red meat.

Peculiarities of Merlot

Merlot is a red grape variety, used for the production of different wines. Every Bordeaux, for example, contains 25 to 35 per cent of Merlot. Its homeland is France (the vicinity of Bordeaux). The grapevine thrives in warm and dry regions, thus in Europe it is considered a late season variety.
