Malvazija 2000

The history of Malvasia

It's a variety that has its roots in the Peloponnese peninsula. The Venetians later expanded it throughout the Mediterranean. It came to us from Italy, in the 13th century. The grape bunches are medium large and cylindrical and can also have loose clusters; greenish yellow colour. The leaves are five-lobed, medium to large, dark green, wrinkled on the top with a shallow toothed leaf margin. The vine thrives in the flysch soil with a good sun exposure.
