Toč furbo - Potato goulash (without meat)

Here in Brda the menu is commonly rich in meat, especially pork. Pork meat and fat have always been used, without causing any particular health problems to the local people.
1 tablespoon of butter
2–3 tablespoons of oil
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
3 potatoes
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 dl of water

Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Melt the butter in a pan together with oil. Add chopped onion and crushed garlic, followed by potatoes and tomato paste.
Mix all together, pour water to cover the potatoes, cook until they become soft. Add salt and pepper to your taste.

A hint: Meal can be improved by a parched home sausage.
